Introduction & Purpose

This blog was inspired by a book titled The Case for a Creator by journalist Lee Strobel, a college student at Yale University and award winning legal editor; a man who spent his life as an atheist until a turn of events led him to begin investigating the scientific evidence that had originally led him to his skepticism.  Throughout his process of interviewing some of the world's most renowned scientists and exploring the fields of cosmology, physics, astronomy, biochemistry, DNA, and the study of human consciousness, he becomes convinced of God and becomes Christian by the end of his scientific journey. The book shares his findings on what more and more scientists are saying about the complex, manifestly purposeful order that points to an intelligent designer responsible for the universe we live in.
Not everyone has  the time or desire to read a novel, research findings, or prod through scientific dissertations, so I have decided to do the work for those who are interested instead. I will be going through his evidence in the order they are presented in his book,  summarizing them and making the information accessible for the person who may only have 10 or so minutes to spare a day.
As a Christian, I want to help lead people to the God who transformed my life in any way I can. I know of so, so many people who find it impossible to believe in God because it seems so unprovable, so contradictory of science, and they need logical evidence to help them to take that step. I am here to share that evidence: it is out there. There were countless times growing up in school I would hear people say "Well God isn't real- what about science and evolution and all of the evidence against him", but often times there would be a lack of examples or real knowledge to back their statements up. As students, we were simply told there was evidence for this or that without actually exploring the evidence itself. And I believe this has led a lot of people to doubt and turn away from the possibility of God. So here I am- here is the evidence used for and against God, and here is what the scientists working on it are saying it means.
I hope that this blog educates both the unbeliever and believer, and I will do my best to go through the evidence as clearly as possible. Please feel free to ask questions, and remember that science is science -it is fact. Although my motives are to share God with people, facts cannot be changed by that desire. They are what they are, and scientific worth stands alone from what I hope it will convince you of. That's the very awesome thing about science.
After I go through this text, I plan on going through other research texts as well, along with going into specific evidence of Jesus, his resurrection, and major questions people have that may hold them back from faith.

With that said, have fun reading! I hope you learn something new, who knows, it may even change your life.
